I have a friend, Yves, who is a fan of house and is a bear, a man who loves men bear. As the largest gay phenomenon of the last ten years and it opens today on the hipsters and especially those who are neither but bear no hipsters who want to be gay in an independent manner, we often discussed between us, why and how of musical stew happening in the gay clubs, especially clubs bears.

Nope. This is my thousandth post by friends who are bears who go to these clubs to be facing the music even modern robotics, a sad mood and guys who watch dancing even more than the gym queens. Ironic, no? And the worst part is that if you have the misfortune to say anything on this, the event organizers send you fatwas not funny at all.

Since 2003, we saw movement " BEAR " arrive in France. Boxes, bars organized evenings "BEAR". The movement spread throughout Europe. And since the mid
"BEAR" works, and that the beard is in fashion, we saw gay "s'oursiser.
past 3 years the phenomenon is growing: the holidays "BEAR" appear everywhere, finally to stay connected, we must say Holiday "BEAR".
These festivals are attended by bears, less represented (there are not enough bears to France to fill all the bars and parties "BEAR"), and a majority of candys candys and hairy (gays "average" which have left beard grow) .. These were candys JPG, techno or some time ago, now they rush to the word BEAR (Mouss Bear, Bear mix, Beardrop, Bear Factory, BearKamp etc etc) without being assimilated to the culture bears.

A coterie of some DJ's began to monopolize all these festivals. They are good in their way, it sure. But their kind is only ONE type of music.
These DJs all have CV interchangeable, they proclaim a culture pop-rock to cry Philippe Bolmashov (it costs nothing to tell, they do not pass), then cite a passage by a party or bar with techno nobody has heard (it is connected) and that has lit on the road sound sharp. Then, they assure us all they issue sets qualified by the words "powerful", "spellbinding", "festive" (not even ashamed). The choice is yours. Some even guarantee to ignite the dancefloor. These DJ's are found in throughout France as some of these parties are exporting their deductible (the BEARDROP example).
For those DJ's, there is a word that is an insult, that is: RADIO.
What does that mean, radio? Dancefloor tracks that pass also on NRJ, FUN, Skyrock, NOVA, etc. LEMOUV. View the range of musical genres such radios are already understands the absurdity of the reasoning. For them, radio is poo, you have to go electronic music, sold 500 copies on vinyl. past 3 years, I'm bored in the evenings (but not in boxes). And for two years, I have a husband who is bored as I am. For music we hear in these sessions is invariably the same, the "housetekelectrodeepprogressive" I glue together because the result is a sad, almost without voice or without, topped only electronic effects, sometimes punchy, rhythmic two: tribal tek.

in Marseille I had an evening "BEAR" (which passed between the other DJ who "ignites the dancefloor ') in a box full enough where only TWO candys and dancing bartender. •
in Nimes I was several times at the same party where only 10% of the people there dancing. •
in Toulouse, in a bar crowded, I saw one guy dancing to the sound candys and two toes tapping until 2am (I have so far supported only), while I spent in the same bar equally crowded whole evenings have fun.
Every time my friends screaming the next day: "It was fun between us, but to shit music." Because my friends have memory:
• there was super fun to Slave (Avignon) with the invasion of bears in Toulouse, where classic moments were experienced on the R & B but we never wanted to do connate at the Beardrop (Marseille, Toulouse, Paris).
• We got pissed off at the mega-Mekanik (Nimes) on 31/12/2009 from 0:30 to 3:00, where the DJ that sets "powerful" was at work. It was tragic Christmas Eve when everyone was back like pendulums, where everyone was donf was sad. At 0:30, Eve came from a super warm friends, we ended up in a gloomy atmosphere and sealed. Years before, we often ended up in the box where it has local gay always fun.
What is at issue, this is not the nature of their Zique (well not quite), all tastes are ... etc.. What is at issue is the fact that they impose only ONE kind of music for hours. I also like R & B, but an entire evening of R & B gaveraient me, so is the house, ragga, electro, reggae, rap.
Recently, I returned to the box gay in my city, the variety of programming, one thing struck me: everyone was smiling and dancing - and I rarely saw the guy smiling in these celebrations. To realize this, just look at the pictures on their site or on Facebook, photos of dance floors are very enlightening. In addition, they have the annoying habit of taking pictures of them (because they love DJ), in many albums we see more participants than organizers ...

At Madbear 2010, I met the boss of the bar bear of Toulouse, where occurred the Beardrop (before & after) and Summerbars and Bearfactory and it allowed me to learn that these DJ's have emerged from nothing and they come from a scene very focused on their music. So even the organizers are aware of the inadequacy of these DJ's on stage where they land. It's going to be changing. (I am also told that the DJ Marseille "in its tribal bewitching" Dalida spent last evening at the "Candy hairy" Marseillaise ....)
If it does not change, I will continue to go out into the real places BEAR, and more in these festivals, which are already part of my homies BEAR. I return to my cave and go have fun in foreign countries, because these parties DJs monopolize locales mais pas plus….
